Recently，Shanghai Education Commission released the 2011 Shanghai Award of Graduate Students Academic Dissertation. The award commission has selected 156 outstanding Doctoral Dissertations and 132 Master Dissertations，of which,39 Doctoral Dissertations and 24 Master Dissertations are from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The results lead all the academic Universities and institutes of Shanghai. For SEIEE at SJTU, 7 doctoral and 5 master dissertations are awarded.
